"Riley Prom, Redtail Trades, updated the 27 year old condo we bought last spring with two striking bathroom remodels and a complete deck and rail replacement. From our first meeting with him, we were impressed with how closely he listened to what we wanted to do, and by the end, how much the finished work matched what we'd asked for. Throughout each project, Riley maintained a candidness and openness that was a pleasure to experience. He is not only an excellent communicator, but he also laid out a budget for us and managed to work within that budget.
The old bathrooms were drab and dated with cracked floor tiles, dated lighting and worn out fixtures. Riley did a complete tear out and remodel, with impeccable new tile floors, tile shower surrounds, glass shower doors, new vanities, counter tops, sinks and lighting. Because we hadn't yet moved here from out of state, Riley ran both jobs simultaneously without much input. He made decisions, large and small, on his own, everyday, consistent with the guidelines we'd discussed. He brought in sub-contractors who merged with him seamlessly. We loved all of his ideas and personal touches. The new bathrooms are a striking update.
After we moved in, Riley tore out and replaced a pretty beat-up pressure-treated deck and visually heavy railing, once again taking charge of details large and small. The completed project showcases his recommendations for modern materials, unique and subtle fasteners, custom fabrications when appropriate, and fidelity to our stated preference to have as little as possible obstructing our view. We love it. Through all of this, Riley Prom was a pleasure to have around, unobtrusive when appropriate, but often good-humored and fun. We can’t recommend him highly enough! "
